Ahem. Sorry. What I really mean is that I did it again: I received an acceptance letter for a poetry submission.

Oops…you think I’m in loooveeee, that I’m sent from abooooooooove–

Sorry. This is just the kind of news writers dream of in the wee hours of the morning while being serenaded by their tawny old cats. This is the kind of news that makes writers fist-pump the air while grinning into mirrors.

With all the work, blood, and love that goes into creating these little pieces of human cognitive chaos, it’s nice to get the news that other people find it worthwhile. Other cats, however, may be uninterested (Hemingway’s preferred seven-word poems).
